Street
Personal projects often grow from a combination of opportunity and curiosity. In the case of street photography, other factors play a role in the creation of this small selection. I have always had deep interest in the history of all types of photography. One of my favorite photographers, Garry Winogrand, produced an incredible body of work during his lifetime. For years his work, as well as others such as Lee Friedlander, has served as an inspiration for my urban landscapes but I hesitated to enter the street photography expanse. When a tool (the iPhone) made the leap from my urban landscape images much less daunting, I stepped out onto the street and discovered another possibility to expand my photography reflections on my casual and everyday interactions with people.
